Let's talk about location!

When you book me as your senior photographer, this is going to be one of the first questions you ask me. "Where can you take my senior pictures?" I can take your pictures just about anywhere you want in Northern Colorado! We have so many beautiful locations in just Windsor, Greeley, Loveland, and Fort Collins. When you book your senior pictures with me, we'll ride around together so that we can stop at any location that looks like it might be fun to shoot at (assuming it's not private property). We can definitely have a destination in mind when we start, but we'll stop along the way - making your photoshoot a journey and an experience! I'm going to talk about three of my favorite locations (or general locations) below. In my opinion, these are some of the best photography locations here in Northern Colorado.

Eastman Park

Eastman Park is located in Windsor, Colorado and it has got to be one of my most favorite locations if we're not going to have mountains in the photoshoot. Eastman Park is connected to a disc golf course and it offers tall cottonwood trees, false olive trees and a few other varieties of trees. Then - because it's a disc golf course - there are fields of tall grass as well! There is a foot bridge that crosses across the Poudre River as well as the newly constructed river access point. If you're wanting to do your senior photos in the water (which is so fun), then this is one of the best locations for us to use for your pictures. We can spend a ton of time at Eastman Park for your senior photoshoot and not run out of ideas or location variety.

Urban Vibes

We can create an urban style photoshoot for your senior pictures at several locations here in Northern Colorado. The best location for your shoot will depend on how far you are wanting to drive, what elements of the city you want to incorporate and if you want to stick strictly to the urban vibes. Old Town Fort Collins is often the choice for urban senior photography sessions because it is a slightly bigger city and there is a lot of art as well. In addition to Fort Collins being larger, it is also closer to the mountains, so if you want to do some urban vibes and mountain vibes - it's easier to do so. That being said, I recently did two senior photography sessions in Downtown Loveland, Colorado and truly loved both sessions so much! While Loveland isn't as popular or as big as Fort Collins - it is quieter with less traffic; which is nice for someone who may prefer a little more privacy during their photoshoot. A third option is Downtown Greeley, Colorado. A lot of people have negative things to say about Greeley, but being from Greeley makes me like it well enough and be able to see the beauty of it. I did a graduation photoshoot (cap and gown) at the courthouse in Greeley and it was beautiful! I loved the vibe of the pillars with brick and stairs. In addition to that, there are a couple of really great wall murals in Greeley! Since I live close to Windsor, Colorado, I'm obviously going to suggest this as great location as well for your senior pictures. While Windsor is small, it has a lot of character with older buildings and some of the newer buildings. I especially love shooting around The Windsor Mill. In addition to that, we can also go right over to Windsor Lake and catch some beach and lake vibes for your photoshoot!

Horsetooth Reservoir

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite areas to take seniors for their pictures. Horsetooth Reservoir and the surrounding areas offers stunning views of the mountains, a variety of color in the Summer and Fall, and tall grassy fields. The reservoir is located near Fort Collins, Colorado, so it's not too far of a drive for seniors that are coming from Greeley, Loveland, Windsor, and other surrounding areas. If mountains are important to you but you don't want to drive too far to include them in your photoshoot, then this really is the best location option for you! If we go to the West side of Horsetooth their is a great location that will have fences, old cattle stalls, a corral right by the trail head. Then if we walk back further we'll be rewarded with a big mountain fields - which makes for beautiful Summer, Spring, and Fall pictures (especially if you want your senior photos to include tall grasses).
